Strawberry festival parade
PARADE ENTRY RULES & INFORMATION
· The Stilwell Strawberry Festival Parade check-in starts at 8:30 A.M. You will need to turn on Clevenger to check in, the road between the Highway 59 by-pass and Taco Bell, in order to prevent cutting off the entrance to Taco Bell.
· The Stilwell Strawberry Festival Parade starts promptly at 10:00 A.M.
· We implemented an exclusively online application for the parade entry process. No mailing in or dropping of applications. Payment is required via debit card, credit card, or PayPal using the online application. Applications were open from April 1 until April 30, and there will be no late entries.
· Due to the length of the parade in recent years, we are limiting the number of entries into the parade this year to cut back on the time and the logistics of the parade line up.
· All entries must check-in on the morning of the parade.
· Lineup assignment will be issued at check-in on Saturday, May 10th, 2025. They will not be given out earlier.
· Lineup is done on a “first applied, first lineup” basis. This means the earlier you apply, the further up front you will be in the parade lineup. We cannot allow requests of being “moved up” in the parade lineup.
· Our spaces for entries are measured at 30 feet in length. So please keep in mind the length of your vehicle/trailer you are entering in.
- Examples: 1 truck would be 1 space, also known as the Car/Pickup Entry Type. 1 truck pulling a trailer would need 2 spaces, this is the Float Entry Type.
· In order to minimize the parade length, please keep within 20 feet of the entry in front of you while going through the parade.
· In the interest of public safety, NO SEMI TRUCKS CAN BE ENTERED INTO THE PARADE LINEUP.
· In the interest of public safety, THE THROWING OF ANY OBJECTS FROM VEHICLES DURING THE PARADE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY CITY ORDINANCE. WALKERS MAY SAFELY DISTRIBUTE ITEMS DIRECTLY INTO THE CROWD ALONG THE EDGE OF THE PARADE ROUTE.
· Some of our float applicants utilize third parties to build their float and do an exchange in the parade line up. This causes a large bottleneck and causes confusion with our parade line up process. For the safety of our applicants, this year you will need to have already done the exchange before you attempt to enter our check-in line. There are plenty of spots north of town that this exchange can be done.
· Some of our parade applicants utilize third parties to bring vehicles for people to ride on and do an exchange in the parade line up. For the safety of our applicants, this year you will need to have already done the vehicle exchange before you attempt to enter our check-in line.
· Be aware of the designated QUIET ZONE (no sirens or horns) between Elm and Cedar streets along 2nd Street.
